How To use

Intro

Have you ever wanted to have your Discord channels update when you update an item on monday.com?
Have you ever updated a channel after you made changes in monday.com?

With this app you are able to keep your Discord channels synced with you monday.com updates!

Setup

Step 1

Add the integration to any board you want.

Step 2

Choose any integration that suits you! The available integration is growing all the time.

We aim to keep the structure the same.

You can choose messages to be posted in any text channel or a forum channel.

For forum channels:

Each item in a board will be added under its own thread so all item conversation will get its own place. You can choose any forum you have in your community server.

The list of available channels will be the channels you have on the selected server you connect in the authentication screen:

Make sure the forum is in a server you have permission in.

Step 3

Construct the integration recipe:

Choose trigger options (depends on the integration you chose. status, date, etc..).
Choose a custom text under the "this" option
Choose one of the available channels
Choose the message structure

The message structure gives you to choose how you want the message to be posted:

Text - only the text you wrote in the "this" option
Item & Text - references the item name and adds the custom text
Board & Item & Text - references the board name, the item name and adds the custom
text
Board & Item - references the board name and the item name, ignores any custom text specified.

Note that since for forum update, a thread is created for each item, the Board and Item names might be redundant but it is really up to you!

Things to note

Due to Discord bot throttling and monday.com retry policy, it is recommended to:

1. Limit batch operation to at most 5
2. Perform at most 20 operation per minute
